Winter Blues
Delicious winter.
I ride my bike to and from work most days, unless the roads are icy or slick, which this year has not been often. That biting wind on the face, the impossibly blue skies, bundles of warm Zam Barrett and LOID sustainably made clothing to layer, white-hot sunshine in the salon I work at that faces south, cocktails in front of the wood burning stove in the basement at home, the feeling of the heat your body has generated after a long run in spite of below zero temperatures, the muffled footsteps after a big snowstorm, these are a few of my favourite winter things. If you have the blues though, I wrote this for you:
winter blues
solem hues
paying dues
for that warm, summer snooze
freezing booze on a sunset cruise
movie reviews
that force us to choose
dangerous news or pirates in clews
go for some brews
